My Georgetown Handyman–We’re Here to Help

Michael and Lisa headshot About a year ago, Michael Tucker and I began discussing how we could leverage our combined business and “fix-it” skills to start a handyman business in the Georgetown area—one with a slightly different approach. Our idea was simple: we would estimate every project a client asked us to do, no matter how small. In our area, quality tradespeople were often too busy to take on smaller projects. Generalists, especially contractors, preferred focusing on larger, more lucrative jobs and weren’t interested in tasks like hanging and balancing ceiling fans, refurbishing decks or fences, or cleaning out gutters.

While some jobs require the expertise of licensed plumbers, electricians, and contractors (and rightly so, due to safety regulations), not all home repairs demand a licensed contractor with a full team. Sometimes, a generalist with years of experience is the perfect fit for the job. And if a larger team is necessary, we’ve got that covered too.

This philosophy is the foundation of My Georgetown Handyman. If you have a home issue, we’re here to help—even if you’ve been told it’s “too small.” We’ll handle the little things so you don’t have to. At Georgetown Handyman, we’re committed to Making Your Home Work!
